The Minister was asked by Chambroad Overseas Investments Australia Pty Ltd to declare its proposed Kangaroo Bay Hotel a major project under the Land Use Planning and Approvals Act 1993 (the Act).
The Minister has declared the proposed Kangaroo Bay Hotel a major project under section 60O of the Act, effective 18 October 2024.
The proposal is now subject to the major project assessment process coordinated by the Tasmanian Planning Commission.
