The Tasmanian Planning Commission’s independent Development Assessment Panel has granted a major project permit for the Kangaroo Bay Hotel major project development on 19 October 2026.
The developer for the project is Chambroad Overseas Investment Australia Pty Ltd. The project is located at 78 Cambridge Road, Bellerive and includes a hotel with 155 rooms, restaurant, bar and function spaces and four separately operated commercial tenancies in a multistorey building. The proposal also includes publicly accessible landscaped open spaces and access ways, off-street parking, signage, lighting and site servicing works.
